bodyguards and assassins...

It's not that I haven't been dreaming, it's more like there isn't one that is worth blogging about. But this is not bad.

In this dream, I part of the police. Though I do remember threatening someone with death. Maybe the police in my dream are allowed to do that. It takes place in Chinatown. Looks like Chinatown in Singapore. We run down Chinatown chasing this group of Indians, not being racist, they just happened to be Indians. We catch up with them, confront them. They look like they are 40ish. Too old to be young punks. We exchange threats, issue ultimatums. Ultimatums which includes the death as the ultimate result.

We then run back to where the main group of police are. I get separated from the others running back and I end up in this back alley of this bodyguards training school. Singapore must have really gone into some niche production if this really happens. They see me running towards them and the whole bunch of them starts running in the same direction. And no, I don't know why this happens either. It's like a movie loophole, you just accept it. Before I can reach where I was running to, I have to cut through this wet market. Just before I could reach the "safe point", just a stairway away, the dream ends.

That was quite an exciting dream.

omen...

It has been quite a long time since I've blogged about one of my weird dreams, so I guess it's about time.

In this dream, I dreamt I quit BB. I quit because I couldn't control the bunch of boys in a class. I don't particularly remember what the class was about. Don't remember any of the boys in the dream in particular either. If you ask if they were even BB boys, I can't say for sure.

Is this an omen?

I sure hope not.

jumper...

Due to a lack of time online from army, this is a backdated dream entry.

On Monday morning, I had a dream about a jumping man. More accurately, a man jumping.

If you have been in Fairfield before, you will know that the building that the auditorium is on the ground story of the 2 story Technical Block. Anyway, in this dream, we were having a BB camp. I cannot fathom why else we were there at night. I was walking out of the audit with Be*n, E*ric and J*oel. Outside in the parade square, we saw an Indian man waving frantically at us. We walked into the parade square and saw another Indian man standing on the ledge on the second story. We watched as the man on the second story jumped and the man in the parade square caught him in his arms.

signs...

I wonder if yesterday night's dream had any subtle message. Of course not every dream has a message underneath. Considering where I am right now in my life, I would say that the dream was pretty random and probably meaningless.

I dreamt that all the EL majors had failed one module and everyone was deciding which module to take next semester. Creepy.

sharks...

The weird dreams are back.

On a scale of 1-10, last night's dream would have rated about a 7 or 8.

Singapore is flooded, how is has happened with all the drains, i cannot explain. But, not to worry, it's only knee deep. The problem is not the flooding itself. The problem is that there are sharks everywhere. I had fun jumping out of the way of getting bitten.

dreaming and eating...

As my dreams go, this one is actually uneventful and not weird at all.

I dreamt that some of the English Majors and I ended up having dinner at Changi Airport. The only weird part was, even though they have ample empty tables, they sat us at different tables. There were six of us, Leon*ard, XingJia*n and Se*rene sat together, Han*nah/LayKua*n sat with me. And the saddest thing is, I cannot remember the last person and he/she had to sit by him/herself.

self esteem...

I wonder if my self-esteem had taken a beating recently. If it had, I don't remember. But It seems my subconscious might be having a little downtime.

I had a dream last night. It went something like this. I was talking to De*rrick and he was telling me about the reaction of the Lifeline committee when they did a reflection on the last issue of the magazine. Apparently, the article that I wrote wasn't well received. Though I don't remember the dream going into why it was so.

I hope my self esteem didn't take a beating recently.

another dream...

Haha, forgot to write about my dream.

According to Guan*da, dreams happen when you got too much on your mind. Then the thoughts manifest themselves into dreams. I don't really believe this.

Anyway, the dream.

I dreamt that I had a new younger brother. Woah. Nothing much else happened. Wonder what all these means.

another night, another dream...

I recently did a Dr. Phil's test on Facebook. I have no idea what the result of the test meant. But one of the questions asked was regarding the type of dreams that you have. I answered that I usually have pleasant dreams. No matter how weird my dreams might have been, they were at least pleasant, never nightmarish.

Well, there will be a first time for everything. This morning's dream was a tad dark. The dream started out well enough. It was a night, and I was walking through a courtyard area that had large ponds with arowanas in them. The courtyard had many stone animals scattered around. And there were people just sitting around and talking. Nothing really weird.

Then I walked to the end of the courtyard which had a road leading to the main road. You can see traffic on the main road but the road leading to it was totally dark and flanked by vegetation. The vegetation was so thick that it made the road even darker. Walking onto the road, the road was empty. Then there was a man walking in from the other side. Suddenly, a gorilla like figure jumped out of the vegetation and attacked the man. I started running towards the man and I woke up. Yea, weird dream.

On a real life note, a known terrorist is running around in Singapore. Suddenly, I don't feel very safe anymore.

flying off on a balloon...

As usual I had a weird dream last night. It took a long time for me to blog about it, but finally I'm blogging about it.

Well the dream involves the bible study group. It was like a church camp sort of place. And we were taking turns to take a flying contraption at a station. This contraption is made up of a little swing seat tied to a balloon. A normal sized balloon. And the only thing that keeps this contraption form floating where-ever it wants is a raffia string. So we take turns to go up on this weird flying thingy. Don't bother asking how this thing can actually lift someone off the ground. It just does.

Anyway, it's my turn and while waiting for the thing to lift off, yes it takes quite awhile to lift off, it's only a balloon. So before it took off, I had a sudden urge to go to the toilet and so I went, flying contraption and all. The raffia string is the only thing that connects myself and the flying thingy to the station. The raffia string is quite long. I made it to the toilet and I was floating in the toilet. Because of the roof, I was just floating within the toilet. Yea, WEIRD!!! While floating in the toilet, I saw that the walls were populated with flies. Those long-legged flies you often find near the toilet. After realizing that I cannot float higher in the toilet, I started running back to the station. But I never made it back to the station, the dream ended before that happened.

Yea, weird.

last day of the year...

It's the last day of the year, so I thought that an entry would be fitting.

First off, a dream. But the problem is I couldn't remember much about the dream. All I can remember is that it was uneventful and normal. It was as normal as normal can be. Therefore, it makes it abnormal. If you know, my dreams are hardly ever normal. Usually, dreams are weird and crazy.

I finally got around to clearing my load of army stuff. Which is good. The load of army stuff lying everywhere was getting a tad depressing.

Anyway, back to the point of the entry, the LAST day of the year. And what do most people do at this time of the year? Meet up with people, many people. So that's what I did. I met up with a couple of the English majors. First, we went to support Jin*Han's cousin at EastCoastParkMac. Ji*nHan's cousin is Peter Draw. Weird name, but it's a pen name and he really draws well. He was drawing caricatures for 24 straight hours to raise money for Habitat for Humanity. I got my picture drawn. It's actually quite good.

Well, after EastCoastParkMac, we headed down to Orchard for dinner. We ended up at NeeAnnCity and while waiting for the rest to arrive, we hung around Kino. I'm always intrigued with the collection that Kino has. Especially in the Self-help and Philosophy sections. Anyway, was browsing around and I came upon a book titled, "What not to say at..."

In the book it has topics and comments that are not generally accepted at certain social events. Events such as graduation, funerals and dinnertime. Has society degraded to an extent that we need to buy a book to tell us what not to blurt out at a specific social event? If you need this book to help you in the area of conversational topics, I feel sorry for you. If you need this book, you'll probably need another book, a book that will help improve your social skills. I'm not saying I'm perfect with my conversational skills, I admit I say many things without first thinking through the many consequences that might follow. But if people actually have to turn to a book like this for help, I think people should stop interacting on the Internet and start interacting in real life.

Nothing beats real life interaction and conversations. So I think this is the lesson for 2007. With 5 hours left, if you haven't made some sort of resolution, I encourage you to interact less online and more offline.

Have a GREAT NewYear. Seeya all in the new year!
