Enrollment Service 2007

Haha, was suppose to give the cd of burnt photos to Lijia but he woke me up at 6am to open the gate for him. So I totally forgot about the photos. And now I have the photos. Haha. The last photo of all the officers look quite good.
AQ is today. Going down to Northbrooks Sec later. Just came back from Farewell. Want the photos. Haha. Fianlly thought of what I can make for the five of them. And it doesn't come in a set of five. Hiaz.
Will blog more about Farewell when I get photos. Enjoyed myself last night. Surprised I'm not already sleeping.

finally... again...

Okie, I just realised that I have not talked about the after orientation luch we had with the Sec 4 Squad leaders and ONE Assistant Squad Leader. It was actually a good time of fellowship. But the other side of the table should really speak up. They were so quiet. And I got to know some of them much better. which was good, like Nat is addicted to Prison Break and powdered cheese. Clemence and Wen Jie actually enjoy tormenting each other. Clemence drinks like an empty barrel. Enping is an aspiring cook for Fear factor. Joel Wong can actually be a superspy cause I cannot remember all he did that day. Keith eats kinda slowly. And Chirst Teo is surrounded by Sec 4s so I can't blame him for being so quiet. It was also good considering that they are "ORD-ing" in about 2 days.

Well they foiled my attempts to go to Fishermen's Wharf to have good and cheaper fish. And we ended up at Jurong Point Fish and Co. in the end. Dang. FOILED!!! Foiled I tell you. So if the COSes are reading this. You guys will not foil me again!!!

finally... recruits camp...

Finally, it’s the end of el3216's individual project. So now I get to blog about the recruits camp. Yes. Late is the word. 2 weekends overdue actually.

For the first thing, I thought Wenjie did a great job. Considering that he had to do most of the things by himself, I’m proud to say that it’s good to see the growth in him since… years ago? It was also encouraging to see the Sec 4s rally around WJ when all his squad leaders were away with other commitments.

I must say that the meals were all great. I really wonder where all the budget came from. The lessons were okie, more thought could have been put in, but I think this is the only part of the camp where the WJ and gang weren’t particularly prepared for. The hike was a pleasant one. Pavements made for easy walking. The Sec 1s didn’t complain “too” much. I thought that kids these days would be more accustomed to sleeping late. Some of the Sec 1s were complaining that they were sleepy.

Because I cannot remember all their names, I wouldn’t really talk about them. The ones I can remember are Eugene, Kelvin, David, Joshua, Kenneth, Xavier and Joel Tang.

Eugene and Joshua were like the act cute ones. I think if they wanted to, they can open their eyes to the size of PowerPuff Girls. Kelvin I think is really good, with a bit of molding, he’ll make a good leader. David’s just plain weird. He eats paper and suck chili sauce. Kenneth complains too much. Haha. Xavier complains way too much. Joel Tang is a Sec 3 that joined this year, I think if he joined when he was younger, he might have been somebody. There was this other Sec 2 guy, he was disappointing when he got stressed. I was shocked at what he said at SP gate 3. There are 2 more Sec 1s. Sorry I don’t remember your names. I think there was an Isaac somewhere.

Now for the Assistant Squad Leaders, they were Christopher Teo, Andrew, Maverick and Shannon. Chris and Andrew were impressive. Although Andrew eats grass. Maverick and Shannon didn’t live up to all their hype. But in the words of Football Manager: They still have much to learn.

Camp was really fun, but I think it’s the fellowship that really made it all worthwhile. Mac at 330am is always a good way to spend time. Farewell in 3 days. Bittersweet? I think it was more like the beginning of a great journey. And I hope the lessons the Kids learnt in the BB’s gonna help.

another first...

had to replace my specs today... broke them yesterday while cleaning them... first time I broke my specs... the specs guy actually correctly predicted the way I cleaned my specs.... which he said said was "stressful" on the specs... have to change the way I clean my specs... come to think of it... I just used the same method to clean my specs less than 10 minutes ago...

first time for everything...

Today was the first time in my life that I lost my phone. Lost the phone for about half an hour. Luckily Lijia drove and he drove me to the interchange to get it. By the grace of God, the phone was there.

Heng, God amazing...

And I think there is a flaw in my brain teaser, so no more prizes... Haha...
