hmmmm... it's gonna be exams in about 21 days...

should be studying... but apparently i've been spending alot more time on battle net...
well was looking around and i happened to find a person from russia trying to sell his battle net account... hmmm... must be quite desperate... how can you say this nicely... who in his right mind would sell an account that is from ladder1???
it's currently ladder 3... doesn't it hae any sentimental value??? maybe it's just me... but isn't your account part of you... imagine selling it to some noob with lots of money... what's the point? in the end isn't it your own rep that you sold and let that guy destory... honestly if the person who buys is so pro... there's no reason to buy the stupid account in the first place...
and this creates another problem... these pro players then start a new account and try to get a super account which is like 100% wins and when they lose they super lose their cool and they keep calling people noob and think they are super high and mighty... but they forget they are in some new account... then the worse thing is they go around asking people for thier real level... bug... bug... bug... so noisy... cannot even play in peace...
hiaz... now is ladder 3 already... they just reset the levels... then so u don't reall know if the person is a pro anot... but some of the players that i see these few days i saw before last time... now gaining level like eaiser... dunno why... now level 17 already... dunno why so fast... only been about 2-3 months... hope it's not because i've been playing non-stop... if iwere i hope i am actually conscious of it... since i'm quite sure that i am actually on playing all the time then i hope i truely am not...
just rambling on and one... no one actaually reads this so it shouldn't matter that much... really should go and study... it's almost time...

on another more slanted toward reality note... there is a new bus service running along the road of my estate... yay!!! finally there is a direct bus home from jurong east... why was this bus not introduced when i was in jc??? so sad... hiaz... anyways... i took the bus that day... and i must say... for a city with a world class transport system running... the bus drivers must be given some credit... people say that our transport system is very efficient... people also say it's because the island is very small so getting from one side to the other wouldn't take too long...
but really it's because of the drivers... the 52 that i was on took 30 minutes to get from bishan to my house in clementi... it was raining like crazy and the driver till drove like he was racing in formula one... but it's not the first time i took bus where the bus ran like the driver's life depended on it... the other day... i took a 151 home from school... the driver drove like 50km/h in side the university... first time i took bus the back of the bus hit the hump after the bus flew over the hump lah... hahahaha... actually quite fun... look frward to more bus rides like these... always hope that nothing too dangerous happens...

okie... someone told me this story some time ago and i am now going to share it with you all... don't worry... i'm not infringing any copyright laws...

okie... as we all know... men came from mars and women from venus...
well on mars, the day is shorter than 24 hours... it's about 18... so over there... men couldn't really get much done in a day... so they got all their great minds to try to solve this problem...
well on venus... the day is longer than 24 hours... it's about 36... so the women got lots of time to do all the things that they needed to do... well seeing that they had so much time they always felt a need to fill up the spare time so in order to do less stuff... they decided that something had to be done if they wanted a healthier mental... hence they got thier greatest minds to solve this problem...
well... in between mars and venus... there's earth... well earth had 24 hours... so all the great thinkers thought that...
" yea... graet idea... lets move to earth!!!"
so everyone moved down to earth... on earth... the men found that even with the extra time on their hands they still don't complete much... they found out that they only worked properly for a certain period of time... after that they just churn out rubbish... anyways... the unions din't let them work for long periods anyways...
on earth... the women found out that with the shorten day... they couldn't do all the stuff that they used to do... so instead of improving their mental health... they started worrying more...

well this is only a story... no hate mail pls...

a brave new world...

another 2 weeks another $20 another book...
this time the book is brave new world...
hmmm... actually it's quite a good read... it's better than the other 2 books... it's a book written in the 1930's... it writes about the future... about 600 years into the future... well the future doesn't seem that far fetched... although i personally would rather die than live then...
everyone is conditioned... conditioned from the day they are concieved...
genetically / mentally / socially conditioned...
no one is born anymore everyone is test tube born... a single embryo is split into about76 embryos so it'll give that many children also...
after they are born... they are defunted actually... not born... they are fed this line over and over again than tells them what to think...
each is born into a caste... modified to do a job... there is no discrimination... they like where they are and appreciated the others for being there...
okie the crazyness ends about there... the rest is actually quite believable...
let's see... everyone don't own cars... they own helicopters... everyone's like a donald trump... hahaha... and other than a monthly salary... everyday everyone is issued a couple of pills... yup everyone's a junkie... but this drug has no side effects... there's no withdrawal sysmptoms... you just get happy from it... they even use it to spray roiters to get them into a happy mood... there's no more wars... there's no more religion... everyone belongs to everybody else...

i give it one and a half thumbs up...

and yes essays do reproduce like bunny rabbits... they just keep coming...

tiramisu...

okie... it seems that mediacorp is making more worthwhile programmes... just watched the sitcom/drama/comedy just now... it's called "tiramisu"...

it wasn't good because it was original or anything... because if you have watched "chase" then yes you would realise that the show's plot is bascially similar... if not the same... in "chase", it's about a vet played by lidiya... i think... then there's utt... yup the mtv vj... they first hate each other to the core then fall in love... well... then there's "tiramisu"... sharon au plays this char kway teow seller and there's this other foreign actor... don't know his name... yet... yup it's the first episode... and yes they hate each other...

hmmm... the similaraties are glaring... male leads are foreigners... they hate each other in the beginning... and there's even a sence that is the same... where they fall asleep together on the floor... okie... well... hmmm....

what can i say... is it the same show??? well no... although the story seem to be the same... but then again... it is a mediacorp show... at least the people are funny... in a very hammy way...

well on a more interesting note... apparently in singapore... someone tried to kill someone over $80... can you actually imagine that something like this is actually happening in singapore??? really i can't... i didn't really read the whole article... i just saw the headlines... it's the evening chinese tabliods on 18 october 2005... well maybe it happened in some other country and they jst converted the amount into the local dollar...

but really $80 is a tad low... didn't know that people would kill over such a minimal sum... must have been desperate....

hmmm... if only the essays i have to write about are near as exciting as these... i didn't know that essays reproduce like rabbits but they do... i still have 2 more to go through... after i handed up afew...

hmmm... spent half my day today helping my friend pack his stuff... he's moving to queenstown... helping him pack enlighten me to certain aspects in my life... i don't seem to own alot of thing... the amount of things that i own... i think i can fit into 3-4 big boxes and that's about it... but hey who's complaining... not like i need that many stuff to call my own anyways... it's just too expensive to own stuff... not to mention if i have so many things... then what am i going to do with them??? they are just going to end up somewhere... collecting dust and whatnot... hmmm...

just visited xiaxue's blog... hmmm... it's been along time... hahaha... no time to blog no time to read blogs... okie... was reading some of the older entries... there's this one about the closing down of blogs by schools... well that entry got like 500 plus comments... my entire blog don't even have 100 comments lah... hahaha.... well i always thought that blogs are like privae stuff... it just so happens that it's on public domain... soooooo... it happens that people can read them... i wonder if NUS or any of my tutors try looking for blogs to read.... well blogging is kinda fun in a shoot-your-mouth-off-in-any-way-you-want sort of way... hahaha... well this blog is kinda of written in a tongue-in-check manner... the wierd thing is that nobody really reads this so you think that i would be more vocal about whatever crap that i write about... but then again... maybe that's why no body really reads this... hahaha... or maybe it because i on-ed the word verification thing that stops spam... hahahaha... welll this just shows that singaporean students are not the quiet bunch that takes whatever crap that the schools hurl at them... isn't this what the MOE has always wanted out of the singaporean student??? be able to think for themselves and stand up for themselves???

well i guess all these teaches us one thing... we have to learn to laugh at ourselves... and comments taken in a constructive manner is much better than blowing it up into a defamation suit... isn't that what teachers always TRY to teach students??? that if something is wrong we should voice it out....

hmmm… been blogging short entries lately… hahaha… i wonder why… it’s like there’s nothing much to write about…

anyways… people have been moving houses lately… yup but then so what??? It’s not like they’re moving out of the country… kitty’s moved to the east… hmmm… that’s actually quite far away… SQ’s moving to queenstown… haiz… that’s quite far away also… in Singapore terms everything’s suppose to be close to each other… but then again… it is further away than his current house…

they are playing “meet the parents” again… hmmm… channel five’s like running out of stuff to show on tv… and the planning’s quite weird recently also… or maybe it’s just HBO trying to be funny… channel five’s been advertising the show “shaighai knights” for like a month… then suddenly I see HBO advertise that on the same day they are showing “harry potter 3”… quite a blunt attempt to get ratings…

okie… lit is a really burner of holes in the wallet… every 2 weeks we have to get another book… must find another cheaper alternative… this time it’s “the bluest eye” by toni morrison… it’s some book about sex, race and more sex… i think the main idea was the part about the mentality of african americans in the early 1900s… well apparently at that time everyone thought that african americans were ugly… even the african americans themselves… so there was this young african american girls who wanted the blue eyes of the white people…well… in the end she went to look for this self declared clergyman… this guy managed to convince her that she had blue eyes which happens to turn her mad… this is one screwed up book actually… it’s worse than the hemingway book “the sun also rises”… if the point of the hemingways’ book is its pointlessness then the point of morrison’s book is the self condemnation of her people… all the african americans hate each other… i can’t believe that a race like that can survive a period like that… the only reason that there are still african americans seemed to be that they have illegitimate children all the time…

a bore of a book… i give it half a thumb up for the fact that it is only 200 odd pages… and I managed to finish it in 2 days… now I have to come up with stuff to say about the book...

hmmm… when girls look at other girls… it seems totally fine with society… when they say stuff like “wow she’s pretty…” it’s still okie… but when guys look at girls we are “hum sup”… worse are the guys that look at guys… don’t need for me to say what I think about it… later I get sued…

by the way if you haven’t heard… the 2 buggers that wrote racist remarks were sent to jail… I think it’s abit over the top… can u imagine when the guy goes to jail… the other inmates will ask stuff like,” so… what are you in for? i’m here cause i robbed a bank…” then these 2 guys will say something like,” oh… nothing much… I just blogged some racist remarks…” i believe the other inmates would spend the rest of the day laughing… furthermore… can u imagine if it was some muslim inmate who asks him this question??? well i guess it would be more feasible if he was fined… i think he was but a bigger fine should have been given… and maybe ordered to do community service… in a muslim community… some cross culture exposure would be good… maybe ban him from blogging… hahaha…

oh ya… there’s this new thingy about google earth.. it’s really cool…

the dukes of hazzard...

hmmm... just watched the flick the dukes of hazzard... hmmm... what can i say about the movie... that jessica simpson is hot Hot HOT!!! hahahaha... well she is...
it was funny... it's worth watching... the car driving scenes were great.. it's like initial d with a southern accent... hahaha... there are scenes where the cars are really just drifting all the time...
the jokes are quite funny as well... there's this character that asks lots of "cold" jokes... but some were contextual... so it's not that funny...
is there something wrong wrong with blogger??? the page is kinda screwed up... anyways... still typing... if u are wondering how... the white spaces are actually the writing area.... have fun... watch the flick...
