pre exams jitters...

Red sky night reflects the fire of a burning pyre
The night before
Feelings of weariness
Feelings of anticipation
Thirteen weeks quickly over
Two more to come, more important ones
How much have you learnt?
How much have you remembered?
All will be known in a mere two hours
All in the race of life
Pre exams jitters

the bus missed my stop...

never thought this would happen to me... i mean the bus missing your stop even though you pressed the bell??? usually people miss their stop because they forget to press the bell... but this really happened to me... in fact it happened to me twice this week... both happened on the bus service 74... i wonder if it's the same bus driver...

the first time happened on monday... when i was returning from ldc2... i pressed the bell and went down to the first story of the busand the bus jsut whizzed pass the busstop... the guy behind me looked equally amazed the bus didn't stop...

the second time happened today... was on the way to school... wanted to drop at united world college to cross the road to take 33... one auntie press the bell and went down to the first story... when i went down to the first story... the auntie waved at the bus driver to tell him that she wanted to alight at the next stop... so the bus driver didn't see that i was standing at the door and continued to drive on...

been quite a bad week with buses...

ldc 2...

came back form camp yesterday... was quite an interesting time... saw the student leaders of another coy running the camp... thought of the student leaders of my coy in the camp... there is a difference... and quite a big one... to put it bluntly... they impressed me... alot more than i thought they would... and for that... i am glad... it put into perspective some things and got me thinking about how much i should be expecting out of my student leaders... which is... alot alot alot more...

and i was actually quite amazed at the level of discipline that was enforced... it was only at the end where it was tighted up... but i guess if you don't state it on the first day... it's hard to bring it up much later... someone should rethink how they want to run this...

singlish lesson...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxIJ9swGFUQ

Really, considering I just said there wasn't enough Singlish, here is some great Singlish...
The only bad thing about youtube videos are that they cause the entire side bar to be pushed to the bottom...
Watch and laugh...

phua chu kang...

Well, it's been awhile, so I might as well just complain about channel 5 shows again. It seems there isn't much else to blog about.

Have you watched Phua Chu Kang [pck]? It is the last season. So, is it just as good or are we better off watching reruns?

I say we are better off watching reruns. The show was successful because it was real. The characters spoke like any other real Singaporean. After pck removed its singlish content, it was still fine, but it was not as funny. The first episode on Tuesday was actually quite good, but it felt fake. Hiaz...

And the producers should just stop showing the disclaimer that says anything in the show is fictional. Because it's quite unlikely that anything they show in the show would actually happen in real life. Not in Singapore anyways.
