science centre...

We went to the Science Centre today. It was totally enjoyable. We witnessed the birth of a chick. "Wasted" fifteen minutes of my life.

This a photo taken at Science Centre. The translation for normal male is 普通. But I disagree. It should be 正常. There is a difference.

smugglers...

I saw a girl smuggle a Mac sundae up a bus just now. That's really nothing too out of the ordinary. But the fact that she sat in a seat that the driver could see her eating so easily perplexed me. I mean, why bother to smuggle it up the bus if after that you just let the driver see you.

break week...

Is this spring break? Yes. At least it's the one week version you get in Singapore.

I'm so glad that break is here. There is a ton of things to do and there isn't much time to do any.

I am also meeting people every evening this week. *Woot! Act like popular. I hope I actually survive break. It's probably the last real holiday I'm gonna have.

old people...

I think old people are weird. They can point out the fact that people should go see a doctor when they are feeling ill, in case it might be something worse. At least if you might be able to catch it earlier, then you might have a higher chance of being cured. But whenever they get sick themselves, they just refuse to go see a doctor.

impulse...

There will be a day,
with no more tears,
no more pain,
no more fears.

Jeremy Camp

I like this song. Impulse.

slumdog millionaire...

Q & A. That's the book. Slumdog millionaire. That's the overrated movie based on the book.

I thought the book was way better. It might have just been me. I might be bias towards the book. But the movie changed quite a couple of things.

And the movie is rated NC16. We were wondering which parts of the movie warranted the rating but today I found out it was rated for "some coarse language" I don't recall any though.

friday the 13th...

Is it really a bad day? I mean, it's interview day. It cannot be a bad day. It must be a good, if not great day. Right?

It didn't start out well. I reached the bus stop at 815 to find out that the bus that goes there will be coming in 29 minutes. The bus after that: 29 minutes. So I had to take a bus to Clementi before a train to Bouna Vista. Seems like a long way to go to reach somewhere when a 15 minute bus ride could do. Curse of the 13th. There were multiple traffic congestion as well. But those didn't matter.

I was suppose to reach at 845. I reached at 855. Fortunately, one of the interviewers only reached at 910. So they couldn't start. I was the second person and went in at 920 and came out at 930. Felt like an eternity in the room. Outside, only 10 minutes had passed. Nerves were never really a problem. The answers flowed pretty well.

But there was one thing that I felt was ominous. The "simon cowell" looking interviewer asked if I had applied for any other jobs. And what other occupations would I consider if I didn't manage to get into N*IE. I thought that was code for, maybe you like to have a backup plan, this doesn't seem right for you.

On a lighter note, I wore a tie today and the security guard asked if I was one of the interviewers when I went to change a pass.

sleep and a great plan...

I slept for 12 hours yesterday. I fell asleep at 830 and woke at about 8 this morning.

I felt really good today. But I'm feeling sleepy now.

And I actually learnt something in understanding universe today. If you want to be famous, you can invent a machine that can extract carbon dioxide direct from the atmosphere. Because by doing this, you can drop it onto Venus and perhaps make the atmosphere livable.

falling into place...

It has been an exciting weekend. On Friday, I received an sms stating that the MO*E interview is this coming Friday. I was really amazed at the efficiency. So now, I'm only expecting the letter that they are sending to confirm the time and venue of the interview. Everything will be fine, God willing. Haha, someone reminded me that it's Friday the 13th.

Saturday was fun as well. Spent an entire day in Malaysia. The crabs were crap, but the trip onto a floating fish farm was really interesting and most of all educational.

Yesterday, I was still joking that the UE programme didn't want me anymore. And this morning, I'm slotted to be there on Thursday.

Yes, everything is really falling into place. I'm glad, grateful. Life doesn't seem so unsure anymore. More things should fall nicely into place like this weekend.

complaints...

I seem to be getting a few complaints regarding my postings. Apparently, they are not enough.

So to appease some of you, here is a witty one/two liner.

if life were a bed of roses, the roses better have been dethorned.

the new in thing...

You know how every once in a while, there will be a fad that goes around that seem to demarcate the people who seem cooler than most. This time it's 25 random things that is currently making its round on Facebook.

When I first got it, it was just another chain letter sorta thingy. But deep down, I wished someone would tag me so I'd be cool too. And sure it was cool to know random bits of information about your friends. Then like 10000 people started to tag me and it just turned into a crazy "woah!". Then, I wrote it and now I'm totally and officially part of the coolness. Haha.

I know that I not the only person that feels left out when people don't include you in such things. Stop denying and acting cool!!!!
