old wives' tales...

The old wives' tale that I will try to debunk today is the one about white hair. The tale goes that if you have white hair, you shouldn't pluck it. If you do, you will end up with 3 more white hair in the place of the one you removed.

If you don't know, I have an area at the top of my head which grows specially white hair. Currently, it's the only place that grows white hair. God willing, it'll stay that way. Anyway, back to the story. Today, I tried plucking one of the white hairs. It was straggly and it was just so tempting. However, in the process of plucking one white hair, I also managed to remove 2 black hairs.

In conclusion, it's not that you will grow more white hairs, but you will lose too many black hairs in the process, therefore making your white hair look more obvious.
