singapore politics...
hmmm... whoever said that singaporeans are apolitical has definately seen a polictical rally...
honestly... the more of the political rallies i see the less i think about the opposition party candidates... the ONLY credible opposition candidate is probably mr chiam see tong... he is the only one that speaks with "feeling"... actually if you didn't know better... you could even mistake him for a pap candidate... actually sometimes he sound more pap than some of the newer pap candidates...
listening to the pap old guard shoot down the promises of the opposition is actually quite funny... yup funny... i cannot remember who it was but this workers party guy said that we(singapore) should form a joint union with malaysia so that we can get an immediate 27million consumers... so that we can get double digit growth every year... well the pap guy said that if it was so easy then we should join indonesia... they have 200million people... maybe then we'll get triple digit growth... really the opposition party should think about what they just said... they want us to join a country whose currency is half of ours... so are they going to buy stuff from us??? they have already banned us from buying essential goods from johor... and our products are too expensive compared to theirs... which malaysian in their right mind would buy something for twice the price in singapore? really double digit growth??? try negative double digits...
and the other thing that i found funny yesterday night was the speech made by the secertary general of the sda... can't remember his name... it was regarding the james gomez issue... well he said that since james had already apologized... the pap should just let it go... and that the pap was just making a molehill out of a mountian...
hahaha...
well i think he wanted to say that the pap was making a mountian out of a molehill... if the pap made molehills out of mountians the opposition would be more than happy...
the other thing that pissed me off about the opposition was that they have come afew times to say that they are not running with the intention of winning every grc... they say that they know that the pap will from the government at the end and froming the government was kind of like a unrealistc outcome... sure this isn't the exact words... but what type of opposition do we have??? in the middle of elections they keep saying that they cannot win... they should at least try to win...
anyways... driving test later today... pray that i pass...
